Guðjón Rúnarsson, Attorney at Law

Guðjón Rúnarsson is an attorney and the owner of Drangi Law Firm, licensed to appear before the District Courts of Iceland. He has extensive experience in Iceland’s regulatory environment and corporate sector, with particular expertise in financial markets.

Guðjón served as Managing Director of the Icelandic Financial Services Association and its predecessor organisations for 16 years. Previously, he served as Deputy Managing Director of the Iceland Chamber of Commerce. He has also served on the executive committees of the European Banking Federation and Insurance Europe, as well as on numerous public committees dealing with financial-market regulation and policy. This experience informs his advice to clients on regulatory matters, financial services and investment in Iceland.
