Guðjón is an attorney admitted to practise before the District Courts. Guðjón served as a Deputy Director of Iceland Chamber of Commerce and, later, as the CEO of the Icelandic Financial Services Association. Guðjón has an LL.M degree from the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. Over his career, Guðjón has amassed a wealth of experience in the financial services industry, particularly on regulatory matters, having chaired public committees on the subject in recent years.
